When I first met Ava and we were chatting about all things important to her, she mentioned her standard poodles. The family actually owns three, each with it's own unique personality. But Ava's is especially drawn to her, and their sweet connection was definitely something to be captured.

Senior pictures at Fisher Park in Greensboro, NC

Ava wanted a mix of a natural location, and something more urban for her senior portraits. We began her session in historic Fisher Park with it's easy access to the paths, and dog friendly atmosphere! So much of this quaint park's charm are the stone bridges that crisscross the creek that runs through the center of this city park. Color was still hanging onto the trees in November, and those leaves complimented her outfit perfectly!

Getting some downtown vibes in Greensboro, NC

We headed down the street to get some downtown looks during Ava's portrait session. I love urban locations for their versatility and variety in backdrops and posing options. When you hire me as your senior photographer, we move a lot. And I mean a lot! We explore alleyways and jump into hidden spots. I always love the unique images we create from these tucked away locations.

Additionally, urban settings have tons of fun doorways, textures, and walls.. all perfect for highlighting these amazing seniors!

Flower fields for days!

By the time Ava's session occurred, most of the local farms had already mowed over their gorgeous fields. I, however had a little secret spot that just happened to still be flourishing with these gorgeous zinnias. This location was the perfect end to her senior session experience.

I'm so glad we were able to make her flower desire work, because mother nature sometimes has other plans. Just two days after these were taken, a cold snap hit our area and the blooms were no more.
