Senior Pictures at Tanglewod Park

Katie loves all things western: rugged country, trucks, belt buckles, shiny shirts, and even horses (even though she is allergic!). Without heading to the mountains, we needed to find a location that would give us a sense of all the things she loved, and Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC fit the bill perfectly!

Fall is a popular time to have senior portraits taken. Katie and her mom were on the ball booking with me months in advance, and secured a date during the prime fall colors.

The Arboretum at Tanglewood boasts a gorgeous hydrangea garden. In the summer, these plants hold white flowers as big as your head. As they die off, showcasing some of the fall hues, they make a perfect setting for some beautiful portraits. In the formal gardens, flowers still flourish through late October. It truly is a beautiful spot for portraits!

A Western Vibe in Winston Salem

Katie's dream session would have taken place in the mountains of Colorado or on a big ranch in Montana. Since timing, and more likely budget didn't accommodate those dreams, we opted for a location that could give off some western vibes with affordability!

I spend hours scouting locations to fit your ideas and dream session. By all means, I love to travel, but realistically that can't always happen.

When Katie shared her love for all things barns, horses, western, and country, I knew the spot that would perfectly suit her vision.

Incorporating Vehicles in Your Senior Portraits

So many seniors drive unique vehicles, or ones that are special to them. Katie's down home vibe and country flair fits perfectly with the truck she drives. It was a no brainer to include it in her senior session, and find a back roads gravel path to capture it!
